Turn any image into a party invitation, with RSVPs built in
Last updated
The picture is usually the easy part. A photo of the birthday girl, a drawing of the dinosaur she wants on her cake, a design you made last night, an image an AI made from "space party for a 6-year-old": any of them makes a good invitation. The hard part is everything after, when forty people reply in forty different ways.
PartyPal turns the image into an invitation page with a reply form built in. Guests open one link, answer in under a minute, and the answers arrive already counted. Here is how it works, and what to ask while you are at it.
Four ways to start from an image
Pick whichever matches what you have. You can change it later, and the link you shared stays the same.
- Your own photo or drawing. Upload it as the invitation's cover and crop it to fit. Photos straight from your phone are fine; they are resized automatically.
- A finished design. If you already made the whole invitation in a design app, upload the artwork itself and it becomes the invitation, with the reply form underneath.
- An AI image from your theme. Tell PartyPal the theme and it generates a cover to match; generate again until it is right.
- An invitation you already have. Upload a screenshot of an existing invitation, or paste its link, and PartyPal reads the date, time and place from it, so you do not type them twice.
From image to invitation in five steps
The whole thing takes a few minutes, most of it choosing the picture.
- Create the party with its date, time and place. If you started from a screenshot, these are already filled in.
- Add your image: upload a photo, upload finished artwork, or generate one from the theme.
- Choose what to ask guests. Party size and dietary needs are built in; add a bring list, a limit on plus-ones, or your own questions.
- Review the invitation and publish it. Until you publish, edits stay a draft, so nobody sees a half-finished version.
- Share the link by text, email or WhatsApp. Guests reply from the page; they do not need an account or an app.
What your guests answer
A reply form that asks the right questions once saves a week of follow-up messages. Each guest gives:
- Going, maybe, or can't make it.
- Who they are bringing, with a name for each person, and how many are children.
- Dietary needs for each person, so one vegetarian in a family of four is counted as one.
- What they will bring, if you add a bring list. Guests claim items, so you do not end up with six bags of chips.
- Answers to any questions you add, and a note for you.
The answers arrive counted
You see one number for who is coming, split into adults and children, and the dietary needs of everyone who said yes, with duplicates merged. Print the guest list for the day with the totals, and the AI planner uses the real headcount and dietary needs when it suggests a menu.
There is no limit on replies. A party of 12 and a party of 120 cost the same: each party uses one event credit, and your first party is free.
Picking an image that works as an invitation
An image that looks good on its own does not always work at the top of an invitation. A few things help:
- Leave room. The date and place are written on the page, not the picture, so the image does not need to carry text. A busy image with its own words competes with them.
- Think about the crop. The cover is cropped to fit, so keep the subject away from the edges.
- Use a bright, clear photo. Most guests open the invitation on a phone, outdoors or on the move.
- For a child's party, the child's own drawing is hard to beat. Scan it or photograph it in daylight on a plain table.
- Use images you have the right to use. A photo you took, artwork you made or an AI image you generated is fine; a character from a film is a trademark, so use the theme rather than the character.
Common questions
How do I turn a picture into an invitation?
Create the party in PartyPal, upload the picture as the invitation cover (or generate one from your theme), choose what to ask guests, then publish and share the link. The date, time and place are added to the page for you.
Can I use a design I already made?
Yes. Upload the finished artwork and it becomes the invitation, with the reply form underneath. You can also upload a screenshot of an existing invitation and PartyPal will read the event details from it.
Do my guests need an account or an app to RSVP?
No. Guests open the link in any browser and reply there. There is nothing to download and no sign-up.
Is there a limit on how many guests can reply?
No. Every party includes unlimited guests and RSVPs. Each party uses one event credit, and your first party is free.
Can guests tell me about allergies and dietary needs?
Yes. Each guest gives a dietary need for every person in their party, and PartyPal totals them for everyone who is coming.
